Complete and return the ET3 (employer response) within 28 days of\u00a0receiving the ET1 (employee claim) otherwise there may be a default\u00a0judgement against you.\u00a0 If you are struggling to comply with the\u00a0deadline ask for a 28 day extension in writing as soon as possible.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>2. Comply with all the written instructions\/orders within time provided\u00a0by the Employment Tribunal office.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>3. Wherever possible, work with the ACAS conciliator to try and settle\u00a0the case; it will save you lots of stress, time and money.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>4. Gather together all the documents that can help you demonstrate\u00a0the actions you have taken against the employee.\u00a0 Ask the employee\u00a0or their representative in writing for any documents they may have.\u00a0\u00a0Work together to prepare the trial bundle.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>5. Organise any witnesses and prepare witness statements. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>6. Ensure on the day of the hearing you turn up at least half an hour\u00a0before the start to ensure all the tribunal admin is completed and to discuss any last minute items with your representative.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>7.
